HISTORY OF 2001 MUSTANG GT BULLITT
Presented as a prototype at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2000 and which I had the opportunity to see at the Montreal Auto Show in 2001, the Mustang GT Bullitt was acclaimed so positively
that Ford decided to create a production version.
The Bullitt prototype had a very beautiful steering wheel with a tribar emblem carved in the central section as shown in the attached photo.
An aluminum fuel cap also had this carved Mustang logo. Its unpainted metal appearance contrasted with the dark body colour.
The pictures of the advertising campaign showed us the Bullitt 2001 in the streets of San Francisco, in actions similar to those made by the GT 390 1968 in the movie in the
famous chase.
A beautiful nostalgic reference of Ford that was in its beginnings in those years!
