A BIT OF HISTORY OF THE MODEL
1956 was the 1st major upgrade on the body design on the Corvette. Inspired by a few european models like the Mercedes 300SL for its bumpy hood and side front fender air outake, and a Ferrari model for the side coves, Chevrolet make those styling changes its own.
The 1958 model year marks the arrival of the 4 front headlights on the Corvette and the entire range of GM products. Some other styling changes was the 2 chromed trims on the trunk and fake louvers on the hood.
HOW THE ARTWORK WAS CREATED
The drawn portrait was done using an HB pencil and a sheet of white paper. The drawing is digitalized and then after, colored into an illustration software. Text is also added in that software.

2023 saw some change in the Lemireart way of selling those 3 options like the addition of a 12X18 inches specification and a major upgrade on the 16X20 inches version
that is limited in only 5 copies.

THE BEGINNINGS OF LEMIREART
It was during his years as a salaried illustrator at Québec-Amérique, a visual dictionary publisher, that Alain Lemire developed in parallel with his work, an automotive portraitist activity
aimed at owners of American muscle and sports cars. The sale was done through eBay.
