DEVELOPMENT OD A STYLE
Since 2016, I have started an automotive portrait business that is offered to the car owners I illustrate.
The style has gotten so much better, especially during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic! I'm thinking that there is a possible use as commercial illustrations in advertising, book edition, or in the automotive press.
The largest size I've done in the past is 5 feet wide, which you can see in the picture on the right!
The artwork size is 30 X 60 inches and it is printed on canvas and framed professionnally.
These Corvette profile view illustrations were created to be part of the Lemireart online store. It is possible to use them under license to create posters for Corvette events, and for products related to the model such as body kits or aftermarket rims.
Here are five inches detailed sketches of two Porsche drawn in profil view. Those are the 1st step for a full color 18 inches wide printed drawings.
These 4 vintage-looking illustrations were used to produce a calendar to promote the Lemireart online store.
The 12 cars illustrated were chosen from the illustrations collection of vehicles built between 1960 and 1976.
Other applications can be created with this kind of illustration like creating a poster for a classic car exhibition, printing on t-shirts or other printed objects for car clubs, etc... A usage fee is required for those applications!
An classic and sports car illustrations inventory is available upon request by emailing at: info@lemireart.com
A dual portrait of Enzo Ferrari and Carroll Shelby chronicling the beginning of the Ford vs. Ferrari confrontation in the GT class of the 1964 constructors' championship. The 1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona will have the upper hand over the Ferrari GTO Series II at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
My name is Alain Lemire and my mission as an illustrator specializing in cars is to reproduce cars, and illustrate portraits of personalities related to the automotive world.
I have 12 years of experience as a salaried illustrator for a visual dictionary publisher, which allowed me to create close to 3000 illustrations on various subjects. Today, I offer a style that is close to watercolor and colored pencil, all with a textured finish.
What I enjoy most in life other than cars, traveling in Europe, beautiful historical architecture, heavy but progressive music, and my beautiful province of Quebec.
If you are involved in the automotive industry in general and in the world of racing or collecting in particular, I can help you with your advertising, press, or poster projects for your prestigious events!
