THE 1969 PLYMOUTH BARRACUDA IN 3 VERSIONS
When drawing a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda, I asked myself this question ... What would the car look like if it would have been available in pickup and 2 door wagon?
THE MOST POWERFUL OF THE BARRACUDA IN 1969
The fastback version as produced in 1969 was my choice for drawing an existing version. As long as I did, I used the top high performance version available in 1969.
The main features are decorative strips and 2 air intakes on the hood. A 440-cubic-inch V8 engine could sit under the hood.
GOOD OR BAD IDEA?
I imagined a pickup truck made in the El Camino style from the Chevelle by Chevrolet or the Ranchero built by Ford.
I have illustrated rims of the same color as the body and wearing small wheel covers, as is often seen on entry-level pickup trucks.
IMPOSSIBLE TO MISS!
For the 2 door wagon version, better known as "hunting break", I gave the vehicle a luxurious and sporty look.
It has 2 air intakes on the hood, a front spoiler, a front end with hidden headlights as visible on the 1968 to 1970 Dodge Charger and a rear wing like the Charger Daytona was added for a spectacular look!
The finest wheel covers available on the 1969 Barracuda were chosen to enhance the luxurious appearance of the car.
It was fun to imagine myself as a car designer, the time to draw these 3 versions of the Plymouth Barracuda.
